Job Description
```Duties``` We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and ensuring smooth operations in a medical office setting.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy
- Assist with medical administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Utilize electronic medical record systems such as Epic, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft ```Skills``` To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Dental receptionist or medical receptionist experience preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Proficiency in operating phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Experience with electronic medical record systems such as Epic, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
