Job Overview The Learning Center at Covenant Church is a welcoming childcare center where children are encouraged to learn through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships. We are passionate about creating a positive environment for both our children and our staff and are looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Toddler Teacher to join our amazing team! In this role, you will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for children ages 12 to 24 months . We are looking for someone who is passionate about early childhood education, enjoys helping toddlers reach important developmental milestones, builds strong relationships with children and families, and thrives in a collaborative team environment. Qualifications Create a warm, nurturing, and engaging classroom that supports children's cognitive, social, emotional, language, and physical development. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, independence, and hands-on learning. Support toddlers as they develop important self-help skills, including feeding themselves, using cups and utensils, and washing hands. Assist with diaper changes, meals, and other daily care routines while maintaining proper sanitation procedures. Encourage positive social interactions by helping children learn to share, communicate, and develop friendships. Maintain consistent daily routines that provide structure while supporting each child's individual needs. Communicate regularly with families about their child's daily activities, developmental progress, and classroom experiences. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom environment, including toys, learning materials, and play areas. Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and staff to create a positive team environment. Accurately log children's daily activities including meals, naps, diaper changes, mood, and occasional including incident reports. Assist in other classrooms as needed by providing coverage during breaks, staff absences, or other scheduling needs to help maintain appropriate classroom ratios and ensure smooth daily operations. Follow all state licensing regulations and center policies and procedures. Education High school diploma or equivalent required Experience Minimum of 1 year of licensed childcare experience preferred Experience working with toddlers is preferred
