Overview We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Guide Certified Montessori to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Responsibilities Montessori Certification is required Must have a warm and supportive attitude toward working with children and their families Conduct focused observations of children, develop action plans Ensure the safety and well-being of the children Deliver established Montessori scope and sequence Responsible for parent communication Will deliver parent education, reports, and conferences Have excellent oral and written communication skills Participate in all staff meetings and training At least 1 year of professional teaching experience preferred High School Diploma/GED required. College ECE coursework is highly preferred CPR and First Aid Certification Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role Must be physically able to perform the job of a teacher of young children Lead daily classroom activities following Montessori methodologies, ensuring an engaging and developmentally appropriate environment Develop and adapt curriculum plans that incorporate core subjects such as literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning Observe and assess each child's progress, tailoring instruction to meet individual developmental needs Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school connections Supervise assistant guides and support staff, providing mentorship and guidance to uphold high standards of teaching excellence Ensure compliance with all mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations including first aid and CPR certifications, and early childhood education standards Maintain detailed documentation of lesson plans, student assessments, and classroom activities to support continuous improvement Requirements Valid certification as a Lead Guide in Montessori education with comprehensive knowledge of Montessori pedagogy Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or daycare environments Strong background in curriculum development across multiple disciplines such as literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention strategies, and childhood development instruction Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive learning environment Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols First aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire Experience working in private schools or daycare centers is preferred; bilingual abilities are a plus Join us in shaping the future by guiding young minds through innovative Montessori practices!
