Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in toddlers. Create a warm, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence. Manage daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, circle time, play-based learning, and routine care. Use effective behavior management strategies to guide positive social interactions and address challenges constructively. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns. Ensure compliance with all mandated reporting laws and child welfare regulations to maintain a safe environment. Collaborate with colleagues on program development, classroom management techniques, and early childhood education best practices. Requirements Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, especially with toddlers. Strong knowledge of child development principles and age-specific teaching strategies. Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management tailored to young children. Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and literacy education techniques. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; knowledge of mandated reporting laws is essential. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior positively while fostering an inclusive environment. Prior preschool or private school teaching experience is preferred; experience with standardized testing or physical education is a plus.
