Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, including preschool and toddler care. Supervise children during classroom activities, ensuring their safety and engagement through effective behavior management and classroom management techniques. Support children with special needs by applying inclusive teaching strategies and understanding individual requirements related to special education. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to child supervision protocols, pediatric first aid, and CPR procedures when necessary. Safely operate the vehicle as a bus driver, transporting children to and from daycare centers, schools, or field trips while following all mandated reporting laws and safety regulations. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily activities to foster strong home-school connections. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before routes, ensuring compliance with safety standards and vehicle maintenance protocols. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and behavior management strategies. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating school or daycare buses is a plus. Certification in first aid, CPR (Child and Pediatric First Aid), and mandated reporting laws required or willing to obtain upon hire. Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration. Ability to work part-time hours with flexibility around school schedules or childcare needs.
