Floater/Afternoon Caregiver, Working Hours:

12noon-5:30pm Join our dedicated child care team as a Lead Toddler Teacher or Floater/Afternoon Toddler Caregiver in our faith-based Child Care Center, serving the vibrant Annaville area. Candidates must be able to pass a drug test, FBI fingerprint, and background check. High school diploma or GED are required. We love our staff and have zero tolerance for gossip and negativity in the workplace. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to provide nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate care to toddlers during afternoon hours. As a vital team member, you will support classroom activities, ensure a safe environment, and foster positive relationships with children and their families. Duties Supervise and engage with toddlers during afternoon hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Assist in implementing age-appropriate curriculum activities focused on childhood development and early learning goals Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes safety and learning readiness Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns Support classroom management strategies to encourage positive behavior and social skills among children Follow all mandated reporting laws and health protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures when necessary Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent care practices and uphold the center's standards of excellence Requirements Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management, and classroom management techniques Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR required; ongoing training in child safety is essential Familiarity with special education needs or experience working with children with disabilities is a plus Strong communication skills for parent interactions and teamwork within a faith-based environment Ability to pass background checks and adhere to licensing requirements for childcare providers Passion for nurturing children's growth through early childhood education, infant care, toddler care, and preschool activities Join us in making a meaningful difference in young lives!
