Job Description Purpose:

Our teachers provide responsive and nurturing care to eight children ages 0-4.

They share the following responsibilities:

(A) working closely with each other to design and implement an age-appropriate educational program; (B) organizing and maintaining the classroom environment; (C) developing individual portfolio for each child; (D) working with parents and volunteers to improve their own parenting skills; and (E) working with other staff members to encourage each child's overall growth and development.

Requirements :

• At least two years experience in a licensed childcare or other education facility
• Driver License
• Pass background check
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with infant/ toddler endorsement
• Associate degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education
• Bachelor's degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education, or a degree and coursework equivalent to a major relating to Early Childhood Education, with experience teaching pre-school children

Responsibilities:

• Strong understanding of child development stages
• Ensure the children have good hygiene and changing diapers as necessary
• Clean interactive areas throughout the day
• Serve meals and snacks for the children
• Develop a schedule for the children to maintain throughout the day
• Theatrical presentation in the classroom
• Organize activities and developing curriculum for older children
• Keep records of each child's progress, interests and any problems that may occur
