Valwood Park Baptist Church is looking for childcare workers who will provide a Christ-centered, positive environment for infants and preschoolers throughout our Sunday morning activities. This includes support during our on-site Connect Groups at 9:15 am and the worship service at 10:30 am. About the Church Valwood Park Baptist Church was established in Farmers Branch, TX in 1956. In that time, the neighborhood has radically changed, putting the church in what is now the heart of the Metrocrest region. Roughly 1.2 million people from diverse backgrounds live within a 20-minute driving radius. We hired our new lead pastor in January 2025, and we are entering an exciting season of intentional revitalization. The church is eager to embark on this next chapter. Job Description In this role, you will: Arrive promptly at 8:45 am on Sundays when you are scheduled and remain available until 12:15 pm. Providing a positive, welcoming, and engaging environment that makes kids feel safe and loved. Engage with children through play and craft time. Support the volunteers and teachers by maintaining order in the classroom. Manage the check-in and check-out process. Model the behavior and activities you wish to see in the children. Clean and reset the room after children have left. Abide by all Child Safety Procedures and Policies at all times.

Position Details:

3.5 hours/week as scheduled, $100 per shift Qualifications Complete all abuse prevention and response training requirements every two years. Complete a criminal background check every two years. Agree to abide by all policies and procedures. Exhibit the highest standards of Christian character and conduct, promoting unity in Christ through both speech and behavior.
