Critical thinking and flexibility are your key strengths. You are excited by challenges that come with teaching young children to develop physically, intellectually, emotionally, mentally and socially.
Minimum requirements of position:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- HS diploma of GED
- Must pass a criminal background check
- CPR certified (if not currently certified must obtain within 30-days of hire) Job Responsibilities
- Complete all required trainings within the first 90 days
- Effectively manage a classroom
- Demonstrate patience and emotional composure when dealing with conflict/ difficult situations
- Demonstrate physical stamina to actively engage with the children 8-9 hours out of the day
- Document each child's progress and provide accurate daily reports for parents.
- Effectively organize and maintain classroom and class records
- Plan and implement daily developmentally appropriate curriculum for children
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities for daily outdoor experiences.
- Interact positively with parents daily by maintaining open and cooperative two-way communication either face-to-face or electronically.
- Actively participate in regular center meetings, meet with parents, staff and administration
- Attend in-service and staff development training programs
- Actively pursue and complete annual training requirements
- Develop an understanding of Texas state licensing requirements Benefits
- Fingerprints and CPR paid for as long as you stay at least 90 days
- Room to grow (ex: part time teacher to lead teacher, become a trainer, sensory room expert, opener and closer)
- Face to face Professional development trainings provided at least once a year, additional trainings provided throughout the year.
- Paid holidays and 1 week of vacation when you have been a full-time employee for a year
