Job Description
Lead Fine Arts Teacher The Fine arts teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing a weekly music enrichment program for each class. This program could also consist of art, literature, puppets, and storytelling and/or drama activities. The music and fine arts teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing programs for all school classes. The Fine arts teacher will be accountable to the director. The Fine arts teacher will work 2 days per week. Collaborate with classroom staff for possible inclusion of fine arts curriculum into classroom lessons. Discuss units of study with the teachers in order to supplement these units in music/art. Provide lesson plans to the Director. Attend other events for professional development and complete no less than the 24 hours required by state minimum standards for childcare centers. Maintain current CPR certification. Attend called staff meetings. Attend school-sponsored events as needed. At least two years of fine-arts related training and experience working with young children. The Fine Arts teacher will be expected to work two days a week to be determined upon the discretion of the Director.
