  • 40 hours per week) Highland Forest Daycare and Early Learning Center is a nature-inspired, educational preschool serving students ages 6 weeks
  • 12 years old. Highland Forest Daycare and Early Learning Center is seeking a nurturing and attentive teacher to join our team. The teacher will be responsible for the daily care and instruction of young children ages 18 months
  • 2 years old.
The ideal candidate should have a passion for children, ensuring their safety, engaging in developmentally appropriate activities, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide attentive and high-quality care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being Follow daily schedules and routines. Engage in learning activities that support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Assist with toilet training and diaper changes Maintain a clean and organized environment, including sanitizing toys and equipment. Lesson plan daily activities to meet learning objetives Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities, development, and any concerns that may arise. Follow all daycare policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
MUST be at least 18 years old MUST have a high school diploma or GED (additional education or certifications in early childhood education or a related field is a plus.) MUST pass a background check Experience working with children in a daycare, church, after-school program, nursery, or other childcare setting is preferred but not required Knowledge of child development and appropriate caregiving practices. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring). Ability to lift, bend, kneel, and stoop as needed. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with parents and coworkers. CDA is preferred but not required
