The Infant Teacher is responsible for providing nurturing care and fostering the physical, emotional, and spiritual development of infants in a safe and supportive environment. This role requires a flexible, reliable, and physically active individual with a genuine heart for serving infants in a Christ centered educational setting.

The FBCF Christian School Head of Schools, upon recommendation of the Administrator and Assistant Director.

Faith and Commitment:

Must have received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Must agree with the FBCF Christian School's Statement of Faith. Must be an active member in good standing at a local evangelical church.

Professional Requirements:

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience working with infants, especially in a classroom or care setting, is preferred. Should demonstrate qualities such as patience, gentleness, and attentiveness. Must maintain a professional appearance and conduct that reflects Christian values. Must pass a background check and Child Protection Training.

Key Responsibilities:

Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administrators, providing daily feedback on each infant's activities and development and also be able to follow the instructions the parents provide for the child. Foster a warm, nurturing, and Christ centered environment by providing hands on care - including diaper changes, feeding, rocking, and comforting, while engaging infants in activities like floor play, face time, and singing. Ensure the safety, cleanliness, and well-being of the classroom, and respond to infants' needs with patience and love. Be physically capable of moving around, getting up and down off the floor, and actively interacting with infants to support their spiritual, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Experience:

Previous experience in infant care or early childhood education is preferred. Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating patience, gentleness, and a servant-hearted attitude when interacting with infants, parents, and staff.
