Duties Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to toddler's developmental stages, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes active learning through hands-on activities and play-based instruction. Manage classroom behavior effectively by applying positive behavior management strategies to ensure a respectful and productive atmosphere. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school partnerships. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor each child's growth in areas such as literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols at all times. Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, student progress reports, attendance logs, and incident reports to support ongoing educational planning. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development initiatives and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities focused on early childhood education best practices. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in preschool or early childhood education settings; prior classroom experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of child development principles, childhood education strategies, and classroom management techniques. Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, and behavior management approaches. Demonstrated ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional learning. Certification in first aid and CPR; knowledge of mandated reporting laws is essential. Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration. Experience with preschool teaching methods, toddler care practices, and classroom experience in private or public school environments is advantageous. Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs while maintaining a positive classroom environment.
