Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
A childcare bus driver safely transports children to and from neighborhood Elementary schools, daycares, and field trips. Key duties include operating the vehicle safely, managing passenger behavior, tracking attendance, inspecting the vehicle, and helping children board and exit. They may also assist inside the classroom. Safe Transportation Drive vans or buses on fixed routes. Obey all traffic laws and road rules. Maintain a clean driving record. Child Safety and Care Check attendance during pick-up and drop-off. Help children get on and off the vehicle. Secure seatbelts and car seats properly. Check the vehicle thoroughly to ensure no child is left behind. Behavior and Communication Keep good order and behavior on the bus. Talk with parents and staff about schedules or concerns. Respond calmly to any urgent issues or medical needs. Vehicle Maintenance Do daily checks on tires, lights, and brakes. Check all fluids in all the buses, once a week. Keep the inside of the bus clean and safe. Report mechanical problems right away.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license and comfort driving a passenger van (CDL not required)
  • Valid work permit / visa / EAD to work in the USA
  • Ability to complete a background check and fingerprints
  • CPR / First Aid Certification
  • Gender neutral position

  • Minimal to no call-ins
  • Schedule:
    6:30 am
  • 8:30 am to 2 pm
  • 3:30 pm
  • Good communication skills (English preferred)
