Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum focused on literacy, math, social skills, and childhood development principles. Support classroom management by maintaining positive behavior strategies and promoting respectful interactions among children. Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, rest periods, and field trips to ensure safety at all times. Help prepare educational materials, organize classroom supplies, and set up learning stations aligned with curriculum goals. Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behaviors, and daily experiences to foster strong home-school connections. Collaborate with teaching staff to adapt activities for children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Maintain compliance with educational regulations such as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and health and safety standards including first aid and CPR certification. Use educational technologies and computers to enhance learning experiences when appropriate. Support behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions and emotional regulation among students. Document observations of children's progress for assessments, reports, and individualized education plans (IEPs). Experience Prior experience working with young children in classroom settings or childcare environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of early childhood education practices including childhood development theories and classroom behavior management techniques. Experience collaborating with teachers in planning lessons and implementing curriculum activities. Familiarity with special education needs, including working with individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Understanding of educational compliance standards such as ESSA regulations and health & safety protocols like first aid and CPR certification. Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration. Previous private school or preschool experience is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for early childhood education is essential.
