Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings or written updates. Incorporate child welfare best practices, including behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies to foster respectful and cooperative behavior. Conduct assessments of children's developmental progress using standardized testing where appropriate to tailor instruction to individual needs. Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, incident reports, and compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare. Requirements Proven experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings; preschool or toddler care experience preferred. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention strategies, and special education needs. Skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners effectively. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in childhood education or early intervention are advantageous. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare is essential. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm for early childhood education.
