Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Daycare Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment. In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, develop age-appropriate curricula, and support the overall development of children in your care. Your leadership will ensure that each child's needs are met through innovative lesson planning, effective behavior management, and strong communication with parents. Duties Follow the provided curriculum and implement comprehensive lesson plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills aligned with developmental milestones. Lead classroom activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and active learning among children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers. Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques to create a safe and respectful environment conducive to learning. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum development strategies that incorporate early intervention and childhood development best practices. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings and written updates. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of child welfare, health incidents, and attendance. Supervise assistant teachers and support staff, providing guidance on classroom management and instructional strategies. Experience Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings, including preschool or daycare environments. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques. Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention strategies, and childhood development principles. Experience teaching physical education, literacy education, math concepts, and standardized testing preparation for young children. Familiarity with child welfare policies, first aid and CPR certification, and mandated reporting laws. Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration. Prior experience in private school or daycare settings is preferred; bilingual abilities are a plus.
