What We're Looking For:
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent At least 2 years of experience working with young children in a licensed childcare setting Physical ability to lift, carry, bend, stoop, and run to meet the needs of active young learners Strong communication skills with both children and families A nurturing personality that reflects compassion, patience, and respect for young children
What You'll Do:
Create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom that reflects our Reggio Emilia and STEAM philosophy Implement curriculum that supports social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth Keep accurate documentation, including attendance, milestone tracking, food program logs, accident reports, and daily communication with families (via Brightwheel or similar software) Use positive guidance techniques , including Conscious Discipline , to support self-regulation and social skills Collaborate with fellow teachers and leadership in a respectful, team-oriented environment Ensure children's basic needs are met , including hygiene, toileting/diapering, feeding, and emotional support At Sunshine Daycare, we're not just hiring a teacher — we're inviting a caring leader, a co-learner, and an advocate for children's growth into our family.
