TODDLER TEACHER

PRESCHOOL COOK

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool Cook to join our team and serve as an Ambassador of Happiness. The Preschool Cook plays an important role in the health and well-being of our children by preparing nutritious meals and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen. Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and cook healthy and nutritious meals for preschool children. Follow established menus and nutritional requirements. Maintain accurate information regarding children's food allergies and dietary restrictions. Communicate allergy and dietary information to teachers and Center Leadership as appropriate. Follow proper food safety, sanitation, storage, and food-handling procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen. Assist Center Leadership with purchasing food and necessary kitchen supplies. Maintain inventory and required records in accordance with applicable requirements. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward children, families, and team members. Remain flexible and adaptable to the daily needs of a childcare center. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent At least 1 year of food preparation and cooking experience preferred Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain required certification within the required timeframe Ability to lift at least 25 pounds Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Dependable, organized, and attentive to detail

Qualifications Genuine passion for educating and caring for children High school diploma or GED required Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred Six months of professional childcare/teaching experience required; one year preferred Ability to meet applicable state childcare licensing requirements Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work effectively as part of a team
