This role is ideal for individuals passionate about fostering a nurturing learning environment for young children and wanting a part time afternoon schedule. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to children's development through engaging activities, lesson planning, classroom management, and supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Early education, preschool, or related experience is required. Experience with special education, Montessori methods, or working with children with disabilities is a plus. The successful candidate will be committed to creating a positive, inclusive classroom that promotes literacy, math skills, and overall childhood development. Responsibilities Implement age-appropriate lessons aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy and math activities. Foster a supportive and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning. Manage daily classroom routines, including transitions, behavior management, and maintaining a safe space for children. Support children from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs. Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's classroom activities. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom to promote a healthy learning environment. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements and participate in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings. Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques. Experience with special education strategies, behavior management, and working with children with autism or disabilities is preferred. Familiarity with curriculum development, Montessori methods, or toddler care is advantageous. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and adapt to the needs of diverse learners.
