- 12 years for a split shift of 6:00 am
- 8:00 am & return for 2:00 pm
- 6:00 pm Position Overview We are seeking a creative, energetic, positive, and nurturing School-Age Teacher to join our team.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with school-age children, creates a welcoming and engaging environment, and understands the importance of providing children with both structure and opportunities for fun, creativity, and exploration. The School-Age Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment before and/or after school while building meaningful relationships with each child. Key Responsibilities Greet children as they arrive from the school bus and help them transition comfortably into the program. Complete accurate name-to-face recognition and attendance procedures to ensure the safety and accountability of every child. Provide and supervise a nutritious afternoon snack. Maintain active supervision of children at all times and follow all safety and supervision procedures. Lead children to the playground and provide opportunities for outdoor play, physical activity, and exploration. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and social development. Develop engaging lesson plans and activities based on the curriculum and the interests and developmental needs of school-age children. Incorporate storytelling, books, music, art, games, STEM activities, and other hands-on learning experiences. Follow and support the center's curriculum while bringing creativity and personal enthusiasm to daily activities. Create a positive classroom environment where children feel valued, respected, and encouraged to participate. Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members. Encourage positive behavior, independence, cooperation, and appropriate social skills. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom and activity environment. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's daily experiences and needs. Follow all center policies, licensing requirements, health and safety procedures, and emergency protocols. Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development as required. Pay:
$12.00
