You will work side-by-side with the Center Director and Owners to lead a culture of excellence, compliance, and warmth.
Key Responsibilities Operational Excellence:
Ensure full compliance with State Licensing Standards and Children's Lighthouse Quality Assessment Standards. Manage critical safety procedures, including sign-in/out, medication administration, and transportation safety.
Staff Leadership & Development:
Assist in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and evaluating teaching staff. Manage staff scheduling and labor budgets to ensure optimal classroom coverage.
Enrollment & Community Engagement:
Represent Children's Lighthouse with professionalism and warmth to prospective parents, visitors, and the community. Participate in open houses, family events, and marketing initiatives.
Classroom & Curriculum Support:
Support teachers in executing our character-based curriculum, maintaining strong classroom environments, and fostering positive child development.
Administrative Operations:
Oversee staff files, support budget guidelines, manage daily administrative tasks, and step in as needed to keep center operations running smoothly.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of administrative/management experience in a licensed early childhood center. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on classroom teaching experience. Children's Lighthouse experience is strongly preferred.
Certifications & Education:
Active CPR and First Aid certifications (or ability to obtain immediately upon hire). Meeting (or actively working toward) Texas State Director License requirements (preferably holding or eligible for a Director Certificate).
Skills & Availability:
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage time productively and adapt to changing daily center needs. Flexible availability to work shifts within center hours ( 6:30 AM
  • 6:30 PM, Monday-Friday ).
