Duties Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that promote literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional growth tailored to preschool-aged children. Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence. Manage daily classroom activities with effective behavior management and classroom management strategies to ensure a safe and productive learning space. Conduct child development assessments and utilize standardized testing when appropriate to monitor progress and inform instruction. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's development, milestones, and any concerns through meetings, reports, or digital updates. Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and maintain accurate documentation of student progress and incidents. Maintain current certifications in first aid and CPR to ensure safety at all times. Experience Proven experience working with children in a preschool or early childhood education setting. Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing child development instruction. Demonstrated classroom experience managing behavior effectively and fostering positive social interactions among students. Knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development stages, and preschool teaching best practices. Experience working with special education needs or early intervention programs is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
