Intermittent Childcare Provider

Position Description Peace of Christ Church in Round Rock, Texas is seeking a warm-hearted and energetic as needed, intermittent childcare provider to assist with our Sunday morning children's time (ages 2-10). The position includes set-up and tear down of the physical space, oversight of children's safety, and teaching short love-centered Bible lesson or spiritual lesson that is provided by the PeaceKids Pastor (minimal prep required). Job Responsibilities Set up kids classrooms on Sunday mornings, including carrying boxes and supplies from the Peace trailer to the kids building. Check building for safety concerns. Make sure every child who attends PeaceKids feels loved and welcome. Maintain an environment of safety and stay up to date with PeaceKids policies. Create a structured and fun environment for children to learn and interact Work well with other childcare workers and volunteers. Review Sunday's lesson in advance and be willing to use the easy-to-follow lesson plan provided for you to lead a brief (25 minute) lesson. After kids time, disinfect the toys, then assist with tear down of the space.

Job Requirements:

Experience working with children. Willing to follow communication procedures and use respectful communication with children, guardians, church staff, and volunteers. Flexibility, as we are often adjusting based on the needs of the kids. Comfortable leading a spiritual lesson from a progressive lens. Able to lift 50 pounds Good communicator. Reliable and dependable. Able to maintain a safe, loving, and affirming environment for all children, regardless of race, class, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, or background Availability to occasionally work additional hours (For example, we may ask if you can arrive early or stay late for Sundays with special events.)
