Incorporate special education techniques when working with children who have additional learning needs or require individualized support. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols including first aid and CPR certifications, as well as child welfare standards. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in a preschool or early childhood setting; prior classroom experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and literacy education strategies. Experience with special education practices, early intervention programs, and behavior management techniques. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and administrators. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional learning. Certification in first aid and CPR; familiarity with mandated reporting laws is preferred. Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to create an inclusive environment for diverse learners. Private school experience or similar educational setting is a plus; familiarity with standardized testing is beneficial.
