Responsibilities Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math, physical education. Lead daily classroom activities with enthusiasm, ensuring a stimulating environment that promotes curiosity and learning among children. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies, creating a respectful and supportive atmosphere. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and foster strong home-school partnerships. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or aides, providing guidance on classroom management and instructional techniques. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records related to child welfare, health, and safety protocols such as first aid and CPR certifications. Collaborate with colleagues to assess student progress using standardized testing methods and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Requirements Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, including toddler care, special education needs, early intervention strategies, and literacy education. Demonstrated expertise in classroom management, behavior management techniques, and curriculum development tailored for preschool-aged children. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Valid certifications in first aid and CPR Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate hands-on activities, standardized testing when appropriate, and physical education components.
