Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Support Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meal times, nap times, and educational activities to ensure safety and engagement Support children with special needs by applying individualized care plans and inclusive teaching strategies Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages learning and exploration Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behaviors, and any concerns Follow mandated reporting laws to report any signs of neglect or abuse in accordance with legal requirements Assist with basic first aid or pediatric first aid procedures when necessary to ensure children's health and safety Assisting the cook with meal preparation, kitchen duties, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Skills Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific teaching methods First aid and CPR certification (including pediatric first aid) to respond confidently in emergencies Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special educational needs Strong classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration Ability to handle behavior management techniques effectively and compassionately Familiarity with early childhood education standards and classroom experience in daycare or nannying roles Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare Experience caring for infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children in various settings such as babysitting or nannying Join us as a Childcare Support Assistant and be part of a dedicated team committed to nurturing young minds!
