Our Providence center features spacious classrooms, outdoor play areas, and engaging programs designed to foster development, creativity, and a love of learning in every child. Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and passionate Pre-School Lead Teacher to oversee our preschool classroom and serve as a role model for both children and staff. In this vital position, you will lead lesson planning, implement developmentally appropriate activities, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment that promotes early childhood growth. Your leadership will inspire young learners while maintaining compliance with educational standards and regulations. Duties Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Lead classroom activities that support child development, behavior management, and inclusive learning strategies. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to foster a collaborative team environment. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to build strong partnerships. Ensure classroom safety by adhering to health protocols, first aid procedures, CPR certification requirements, and mandated reporting laws. Manage classroom logistics such as lesson planning, materials organization, and daily schedules to create a structured yet flexible learning environment. Support children's individual needs through early intervention strategies and specialized educational approaches when necessary. Requirements Proven experience working with young children in preschool or toddler care settings. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, classroom management, behavior management, and childhood development instruction. Knowledge of early intervention techniques and special education practices tailored for preschool-aged children. Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration. Valid certification in first aid and CPR; familiarity with mandated reporting laws is essential. Experience teaching physical education or implementing standardized testing is a plus. Ability to lead by example with enthusiasm, patience, and a commitment to child welfare. Prior experience in private preschool settings or similar educational environments is preferred.
