Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our team on a part time basis (7:30-4:30). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, promoting social and emotional development, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students in the classroom. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration. Monitor and assess children's development, providing feedback to parents on progress. Create a safe, clean, and organized classroom space conducive to learning. Engage with children through play-based learning activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other staff members to support each child's individual needs. Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and incident reports as necessary. Skills Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices. Experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential. Knowledge of special education practices is a plus. Ability to manage a classroom effectively while promoting positive behavior management techniques. First aid certification is preferred to ensure the safety of all students. Experience with toddlers and infants is beneficial for comprehensive care across age groups. Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues. Background in caregiving, nannying, or babysitting can enhance understanding of child needs. Familiarity with teaching methodologies that engage children in learning through play is highly valued.
