Full Job Description Position Summary:
We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children of all abilities. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, values teamwork, and is committed to helping children learn and grow through developmentally appropriate activities.
Essential Responsibilities:
Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that support children's cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and language development. Create a positive, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment that encourages learning through play and exploration. Maintain effective classroom management using positive guidance and redirection techniques. Supervise children at all times to ensure their health, safety, and well-being. Observe and assess children's developmental progress and communicate updates with families as needed. Build positive, professional relationships with children, parents, and fellow staff members. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom. Follow all state childcare licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and center policies and procedures. Ensure accurate completion of required classroom documentation, attendance, incident reports, medication records, and daily reports. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training. Work collaboratively with administration and fellow teachers to support daily operations and provide the highest quality of care. Model professionalism, patience, and respect in all interactions.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience working with preschool-aged children. Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Ability to develop engaging lesson plans and learning activities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Must meet all state licensing requirements, including required background checks and training.
