Job Description

Preschool Teacher - Special Needs Focus (Part-Time, Mornings) Legendary Preschool - Draper, UT Legendary Preschool is a part of Legendary Pediatric Therapy in Draper and we're looking for a warm, patient, and experienced teacher to lead it.
This is a unique setting:
small class sizes (6-8 students) with many children who have special needs, supported by our clinical OT, PT, and Speech Therapy team. If you love early childhood education and have a heart for kids who learn differently, this role is for you. Schedule Part-time, mornings only, five days a week (Monday-Friday). Approximately 15 hours of classroom time plus daily prep - up to 20 hours per week. What you'll do Lead a small preschool classroom of 6-8 children, some with special needs Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate, engaging lessons and activities Adapt instruction and the classroom environment - in coordination with our therapy staff - to meet a range of learning and sensory needs Use positive, consistent strategies to support behavior and social-emotional growth Partner with our therapists and clinical staff to reinforce each child's goals Communicate regularly and kindly with parents about progress Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom What we're looking for Hands-on experience working with young children who have special needs (e.g., preschool, early intervention, paraprofessional, behavior tech, or similar) Genuine patience, flexibility, and a calm presence Ability to individualize instruction and manage a classroom with varied needs Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliability and consistency — our kids thrive on it No formal teaching certification required. Relevant experience matters most. Nice to have Background in early childhood education, special education, or applied behavior analysis (ABA) CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Familiarity with IEPs or individualized goal plans Why join us You'll work alongside a supportive pediatric therapy team in a small-class environment where you can truly know each child and make a real difference - without the crowd of a typical classroom.
