Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated daycare caregiver to join our in-home daycare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a passion for nurturing and educating young children. Patience, kindness, trustworthiness, and adaptability are a must. Our daycare follows a non-denominational Christian curriculum and we are seeking candidates that are comfortable teaching faith-based principles and values without emphasizing one denomination above another. Candidates must be female and at least 18 years old. Duties Provide attentive care for children ages 0-7, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Foster a nurturing environment that encourages social, emotional, and cognitive development. Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques. Maintain compliance and ensure state licensing rules are followed. Collaborate with parents to discuss their child's progress and address any concerns. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Assist children with daily activities such as feeding, diapering, and personal hygiene. Align to the standards and values of the daycare including Montessori-inspired, play-based, faith-centered learning; individualized care and instruction; love and compassion; nature exploration and outdoor play; character building; and cleanliness and organization. Qualifications Experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting is essential. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices. Familiarity with caregiving techniques including first aid and infant care. Proven ability to manage a classroom effectively while maintaining a positive atmosphere. Ability to follow instructions, work well on a team, and lead when the need arises. Excellent communication and relationship skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and coworkers. Proficiency in music or a second language is beneficial but not required. A background in teaching or classroom management is an advantage. Previous experience as a nanny or babysitter is beneficial but not mandatory. Applicants must be able to pass a background check and must either have or be able to obtain an in-person CPR certification and a Food Handler's Permit. A genuine love for children.
