Job Description

PC Tots, a non-profit preschool located in Park City, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated assistant teacher to join our team. Our mission is to provide quality early learning experiences for young children from diverse backgrounds and to support working families in Summit County. Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child in the class.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and supervision of each child in the classroom group.
  • Establish positive relationships with each child and their family, and share information about the child's day at the center.
  • Implement daily program activities based on principles of child development and in accordance with the program's Creative Curriculum and Second Step Curriculum.
  • Collaborate co-lead and other staff members to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
  • Perform other duties as required by teachers and supervisors.
Requirements:
  • Experience and interest in working with young children, parents, and volunteers.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to work well with young children and as a member of a team.
  • Warm and welcoming personality, comfortable with a diverse school population of children and families (age, economic means, family stability).
  • Dedication to promoting the overall developmental well-being of young children.
