Experience is desired but not required. Responsibilities Caregiving for a group of children, including diapering/toileting, helping at snack and lunchtime, outside play supervision, art work, and helping young minds to discovery the world around them and grow in the areas of child development including language experience, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, creative development and pretend play. Create a warm, safe classroom environment that encourages exploration, social interaction, and emotional regulation through effective behavior management strategies. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, behavior, and any concerns related to child welfare or special education needs. Manage classroom routines efficiently, including lesson planning, transitions, and maintaining a structured schedule that promotes independence and learning engagement. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation related to child safety, incidents, and developmental progress. Experience Prior experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting is essential; familiarity with toddler care is highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in early childhood education principles, including childhood development instruction and classroom management techniques. Experience integrating special education strategies or working with children requiring early intervention services is advantageous. Proven ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and community partners about children's growth and educational needs. Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is required to ensure safety in all classroom activities.
