Job Summary Join our vibrant pet care team as a Puppy & Doggy Day & Evening Care Worker, where your enthusiasm and love for animals will help create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for puppies and dogs that are Toy and Mini Australian Shepherds they are 20 lbs. or less. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising playtime, ensuring animal safety, and providing exceptional care that promotes healthy development and happiness. Your energetic approach will help foster positive socialization experiences and strengthen the bond between pets and their owners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals daily while contributing to their well-being and joy. Responsibilities Supervise puppies and dogs during play sessions, ensuring safe interactions and proper socialization. Assist with pet handling, animal restraint, and outdoor activities to promote physical activity and mental stimulation. Maintain a clean environment by sanitizing play areas, kennels, grooming stations, and equipment to ensure health standards are met. Monitor animal behavior closely to identify signs of stress or discomfort, intervening appropriately to prevent injuries or conflicts. Support pet boarding and pet care activities by feeding, watering, grooming, and administering basic medications as needed. Engage in team lifting and physical tasks required for kennel cleaning, equipment setup, or moving animals safely around the facility. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' activities and well-being. Requirements Prior experience in veterinary settings, veterinary technician work, pet sitting, or animal care is highly desirable. Knowledge of dog training techniques, animal handling, pet grooming, and pet boarding practices. Experience with kennel management, pet care facility sanitization, and animal behavior assessment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or multiple animals; outdoor work experience is a plus. Strong skills in animal restraint, pet care procedures, and customer service to ensure a positive experience for pets. Comfort working in active environments that require outdoor work exposure and maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate attitude towards animals. Pay:
$11.00 - $13.00 per hour
