Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote early childhood development and learning. Supervise children during play, learning activities, meals, rest periods, and outdoor time to ensure safety at all times. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily experiences to foster strong partnerships. Follow all mandated reporting laws and safety protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures, to ensure children's well-being. Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance techniques and effective behavior management strategies. Collaborate with team members to plan activities that support special education needs or children with disabilities when applicable. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom settings. Knowledge of child development instruction, childhood development milestones, and early childhood education principles. Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred), with the ability to respond quickly in emergency situations. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect. Strong classroom management skills and experience working with toddlers or infants. Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration. Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is a plus.
