This is not a babysitting role. We are a premium early childhood program with high standards for care, safety, curriculum, and parent communication. If you take pride in your classroom, build strong relationships with families, and can lead with both warmth and structure—we want to talk to you. No nights. No weekends. Predictable schedule. Compensation & Benefits $20 - $25 per hour , based on experience, reliability, and ability to lead a classroom independently $500 sign-on bonus $250 after 60 days $250 after 6 months Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Childcare discount Paid training & professional development (including CDA support) Clear growth path into Education Director / leadership roles What You'll Do Classroom Leadership Lead an Infant/Toddler classroom with full ownership of routines, structure, and environment Create a calm, safe, and responsive environment aligned with developmental needs Maintain strong classroom management using positive guidance techniques Curriculum & Child Development Implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities Observe, document, and support each child's developmental milestones Adapt activities to meet individual needs Parent Communication (Critical) Build strong, professional relationships with families through daily communication Provide clear updates on development, routines, and any concerns Handle parent questions with confidence and professionalism Health, Safety & Compliance Maintain strict adherence to all licensing, health, and safety standards Ensure classroom cleanliness, organization, and readiness at all times Supervise children actively during indoor and outdoor activities What We're Looking For Required Experience working with infants or toddlers in a licensed childcare setting Strong reliability and professionalism (attendance and punctuality are critical) Ability to manage a classroom independently Comfortable communicating with parents daily Preferred Child Development Associate (CDA) or coursework in Early Childhood Education 1-3 years of classroom experience Familiarity with Virginia licensing requirements Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children Who This Role Is NOT For Looking for a "watch the kids" job Frequently late or unreliable Uncomfortable with parent communication Not interested in structure, curriculum, or accountability Why Teachers Stay With Us We invest in our teachers the same way we expect them to invest in our students—through consistency, support, and high standards.
