Job Description
Lead Preschool Teacher Kidstretch, a state-licensed preschool operated by Homestretch, seeks a full-time Lead Preschool Teacher to co-teach children ages 2 ½ -5 in a play-based Virginia Preschool Initiative (VPI) classroom. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, builds strong relationships with children and families, and thrives in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities
- Co-teach in a low teacher-to-student ratio classroom
- Develop and lead engaging lesson plans using Creative Curriculum
- Document observations using Teaching Strategies GOLD
- Support children's intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development
- Ensure children's safety and supervise daily routines
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom
- Communicate regularly with families
- Participate in professional development and ensure classroom compliance with licensing, VPI, and CACFP requirements Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred; at least a preschool Child Development Associate (CDA) required
- At least 2 years of preschool teaching experience
- Strong communication and technology skills
