Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler and Preschool Lead Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing classroom environment that promotes active learning, supports individual needs, and encourages positive behavior. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including curriculum development focused on literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence among toddlers and preschoolers. Manage daily classroom routines, including circle time, play-based activities, nap schedules, and meal times to ensure smooth transitions and optimal engagement. Utilize effective behavior management techniques to promote positive conduct and address challenges with patience and consistency. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student progress, developmental milestones, and classroom activities to build strong partnerships. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols; maintain accurate documentation of student records. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, assessment strategies, and classroom management to enhance educational quality. Requirements Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including toddler care and preschool teaching experience. Strong knowledge of child development principles, childhood education best practices, and classroom management strategies. Familiarity with curriculum development across core subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Certification in first aid and CPR; knowledge of health and safety regulations for young children. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Ability to implement early intervention strategies when necessary; experience working with children requiring special education services is a plus. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare; experience in private school or similar educational environments is advantageous.
