Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Daycare Lead Teacher to oversee our early childhood education program from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for child development and a comprehensive understanding of early childhood education principles. As the Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for children, implementing developmentally appropriate activities, and fostering positive relationships with families. Responsibilities Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in children. Supervise and support assistant teachers and staff, ensuring effective classroom management and adherence to program standards. Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment in compliance with health and safety regulations. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Conduct ongoing assessments of children's development and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Ensure all activities align with licensing requirements, mandated reporting laws, and best practices in early childhood education. Foster an inclusive atmosphere that respects diversity and promotes positive behavior management techniques. Maintain accurate documentation related to attendance, incident reports, and developmental records. Experience Prior experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting is required. Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to create an organized learning environment. Knowledge of child development instruction, pediatric first aid, CPR certification, and mandated reporting laws is essential. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable. Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration. Background in early childhood education or related coursework is preferred. Previous roles involving toddler care, infant care, babysitting, nannying, or working with students will be considered valuable assets.
