Provide attentive toddler care and preschool instruction that supports individual child development needs. Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by adhering to health and safety standards, including first aid and CPR protocols. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school connections. Support children with special education needs or those requiring early intervention services by adapting activities accordingly. Conduct assessments aligned with standardized testing where applicable to monitor developmental progress. Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom management strategies, and child welfare initiatives to ensure a cohesive learning environment. Skills Proven experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting with classroom experience in early childhood education. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques. Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention strategies, and behavior management methods. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math fundamentals, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations. Experience working with diverse learners including toddlers and preschool-aged children; private school experience is a plus.
