Montessori Children's House is seeking a warm, mindful, and observant Infant Teacher to join our faculty. In our infant community, we view the child as a capable, natural learner. This position is responsible for preparing a peaceful, orderly environment that supports the physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development of children ages 6 weeks to 16 months.

Key Responsibilities Prepared Environment :

Maintain a clean, safe, and beautifully organized Montessori environment that encourages independence, freedom of movement, and sensory exploration.

Child Observation :

Observe and record individual child milestones, adapting the environment and materials to meet each infant's unfolding developmental needs. Routine Care with

Dignity :

Manage daily caregiving routines—including feeding, diapering, and sleep schedules—with extreme care, respect, and a focus on building self-regulation.

Parent Partnership :

Maintain warm, collaborative, and professional communication with families regarding daily routines and developmental transitions.

Team Collaboration :

Work seamlessly with classroom assistants, the School Administrator, and the Director to maintain a harmonious school culture.

Experience, Education and Skills Required:

Must be able to pass an FBI fingerprint and CPS background check Must pass a TB test Must be or willing to become CPR and First Aid certified Must have a high school education or higher Must be familiar with Montessori style education (or be willing to learn and implement it in the classroom) Experience working with children or working in the school setting is a plus Must be flexible, patience, confident, team player, and kind. Must be willing to uphold MCH values, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Other Information:

Facility hours are Monday-Friday from 7:30 am - 5:45 pm. Please do not apply for this job if you cannot work within these hours. Please do not apply if you require bringing your child to work. We do not have capacity to add additional student slots at this time.
