In this role, you will design engaging lesson plans, foster positive behavior, and support the holistic development of children from infancy through preschool age. Your enthusiasm for early childhood education will help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional learning. Conduct assessments of child development to tailor instruction and support individual learning needs. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, milestones, and any concerns. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of student activities and incidents. Collaborate with colleagues to plan special activities, integrate special education strategies, and support early intervention efforts. Maintain current knowledge of childhood development best practices, standardized testing procedures, and early childhood education standards. Provide first aid and CPR when necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care. Support physical education activities that promote motor skills development and overall health. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or toddler care environments. Strong understanding of child development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies. Knowledge of curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and childhood welfare practices. Experience teaching physical education or facilitating movement-based activities is a plus. Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Ability to follow mandated reporting laws accurately and maintain confidentiality at all times. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in early childhood education preferred. Familiarity with special education needs and early intervention programs. Demonstrated classroom experience with infant to preschool-aged children or in private school settings is highly desirable.
