GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Under the general supervision of the Director, the Driver/Lead Teacher has the primary responsibility for ensuring the health, safety and welfare of the children during classroom activities and/or bus transportation. It is also the role of the Teacher/Driver to: guarantee that the classroom and the bus are clean and in proper condition at all times; determine and follow safe and efficient routes; ensure all children are in age appropriate child safety restraints; maintain all transportation records required by the program; and, evacuate children in case of emergency. The Teacher/Driver also acts as a link between the parents and the program. When in center
Teachers/Drivers:
Maintain classroom control, management, and sanitation Implement lesson plans and activities Provide a normal routine by maintaining daily schedule adherence Must keep the Director and Assistant Director informed concerning safety issues Maintain the Center's policies and procedures Attend on-going training Additional duties as needed
