Job Overview We are seeking a responsible and dedicated Night Dump Truck Driver to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks during nighttime hours to transport materials safely and efficiently across construction sites. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, adherence to safety regulations, and commitment to maintaining equipment will ensure smooth operations and a secure work environment. Responsibilities Operate dump trucks during night shifts, ensuring safe loading, transportation, and unloading of construction materials. Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of dump trucks, checking for mechanical issues, fluid levels, brakes, lights, and safety devices in accordance with equipment safety procedures. Maintain compliance with federal construction safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols at all times. Assist with construction utility work by coordinating with site managers to deliver materials accurately and on schedule. Utilize utility locating techniques to identify underground utilities before excavation or grading activities. Keep detailed logs of daily operations, maintenance activities, and safety checks for accountability and compliance purposes. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving within the construction industry or related fields. Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures is essential. Demonstrated ability to perform routine equipment maintenance and identify mechanical issues early. Prior work on large-scale construction sites with exposure to utility locating, excavation, and site preparation is highly desirable.
