ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Preschool Teacher at treeHouse, you will help create a warm, engaging classroom environment where children feel safe, seen, and supported.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing attentive, nurturing care to young children Planning and participating in age-appropriate learning activities Supporting children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development Encouraging learning through play, exploration, music, movement, art, and hands-on activities Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom Building positive relationships with children and families Following classroom routines, center policies, and Virginia childcare requirements Maintaining appropriate supervision of children at all times Communicating professionally and respectfully with families and team members Observing and supporting each child's individual needs and development Participating in classroom cleaning, organization, and daily routines Working collaboratively with other teachers and administration

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for teachers who are: Warm, patient, nurturing, and dependable Passionate about early childhood education Comfortable working with children ages 16 months-5 years Creative and enthusiastic about learning through play Able to communicate effectively with children, families, and coworkers Professional, responsible, and team-oriented Willing to learn and grow professionally Committed to providing a safe and positive environment for every child Previous experience in a licensed childcare center, preschool, daycare, or early childhood education setting is highly valued. Candidates must meet applicable Virginia childcare staff requirements for the position.

Monday-Friday Operating hours: 7:00 AM-6:00 PM Full-time availability is preferred.
