As a Family Home Aide, you'll help create a warm, safe, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. Working closely with the Lead Aide and Director/Owner, you'll be part of a supportive team dedicated to high-quality childcare and early education. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being active, creative, and connected—both with children and teammates. Available Part-Time Shifts Monday-Friday 8:00 PM
- 1:00PM Monday-Friday 12:00 PM
- 5:00PM Monday-Friday 3:00 PM
- 6:00PM (Summer position, ends September 2026 ) What You'll Do & What makes You a Great Fit Assisting with engaging activities like art, music, storytelling, and outdoor play Supporting the daily curriculum and encouraging children's participation Observing and documenting children's growth and sharing updates with families Keeping classrooms clean, organized, and ready for learning Modeling positive, age-appropriate behavior at all times Collaborating with your team to provide the best possible care Enjoys working with children: newborn to age 12 Communicates clearly and works well with others Is dependable, flexible, and take pride in keeping the classroom clean Brings a positive attitude and a willingness to jump in wherever needed Has a basic understanding of child development
Education, Experience, & Physical Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED (or currently enrolled in high school) Some experience in childcare (entry-level welcome!) Coursework or certification in Early Childhood Education is a plus Moving, bending, kneeling, and sitting on the floor Lifting up to 50 lbs Engaging with children at their level throughout the day To be considered for an Interview you must have the following: MERIT account setup (username/password)STARS ID
number Cleared DCYF background check Negative TB test (within the last year)WA Food Handler's Card Note:
Within 30 days- Complete DCYF training requirements must be completed. Within 90 days
