Our program serves infants, toddlers, preschool children, and families in a warm, welcoming, family-centered environment. Hours of Operation Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Employee schedules may vary based upon enrollment, classroom assignment, and program needs. Position OverviewThe Lead Infant Teacher serves as the primary caregiver and educator within the infant classroom. This individual understands that the earliest months and years of life establish the foundation for learning, trust, communication, emotional security, and healthy relationships. The successful candidate embraces relationship-based care and creates an environment where infants feel safe, secure, loved, and supported every day. This position follows best practices outlined through Developmentally Appropriate Practice, responsive caregiving, Washington State Licensing Regulations, and nationally recognized early childhood standards. Educational Excellence Pathways Families Thrive values education, professional growth, and lifelong learning. While we welcome passionate educators at every stage of their career journey, preference may be given to candidates holding an Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field. The Lead Toddler Teacher creates a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, independence, and joyful learning through meaningful experiences and relationships. The successful candidate understands child development and creates opportunities that foster language development, social-emotional growth, creativity, movement, and exploration. Responsibilities Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences. Create engaging classroom environments and learning centers. Support language, communication, and early literacy development. Foster independence and self-help skills. Support children's social-emotional growth and peer relationships. Build strong partnerships with families. Maintain daily classroom documentation. Conduct observations and monitor developmental progress. Support transitions, meals, outdoor play, and rest periods. Maintain compliance with licensing requirements. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED. Washington State ECE Initial Certificate or ability to obtain. Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification. Washington State Background Clearance. Experience working with toddlers. Preferred Child Development Associate (CDA). Associate Degree (AA/AAS) in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Development, Elementary Education, or related field. Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Early Childhood Education or related field highly preferred. Knowledge of social-emotional development. Experience implementing developmentally appropriate practices. Physical Requirements Lift and carry children up to 40 pounds. Frequently bend, kneel, squat, and sit on the floor. Participate in active indoor and outdoor play. Walk, stand, and move continuously throughout the day. Assist children with toileting and personal care needs. Respond quickly to children's safety needs.
