Program Supervisor and Lead Toddler Teacher

  • Full-time Lead Toddler Teacher and Program Supervisor for Reggio Emilia-Inspired Program This position will fill a dual role.
Time will be divided between a Lead Toddler Teacher and Infant-Toddler Program Supervisor position. The Lead Toddler Teacher is responsible for the care and education of a classroom of 4 to 5 young children (possibly up to 7 with an Assistant). The Lead Toddler Teacher is responsible for the preparation, supervision and facilitation of classroom activities.

  • observe and document children's development
  • analyze and plan classroom curriculum based on individual children's developmental needs
  • design the learning environment to reflect the culture of children, families, and the community
  • plan developmentally appropriate classroom experiences
  • build positive relationships with children and families As the Program Supervisor, you would serve as a mentor to the infant and toddler teachers and assistants, provide constructive feedback on curriculum implementation and engagement, and oversee the collection on the ASQ screening tool and the developmental assessment (TS Gold) to three small classes of infants and toddlers.
The Lead Toddler Teacher/ Program Supervisor must have the following: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education Minimum of 2 years of experience in a child care setting working with Infants/Toddlers.
