Job Description
Grow With Us Preschool and Child Care got its start in 1988. Its current owner was caring for her first child along with all of the neighborhood kids. After working in childcare centers herself, she saw a need for a daycare environment that attended to the happiness of the children. She developed a play based learning curriculum to teach children in a way that made them excited to come to daycare and interact with other children. That center was so successful that the business has evolved into three childcare centers in Edmonds, Washington. We are searching for an Assistant Child Care Teacher for our Grow With Us Preschool and Child Care 665 Edmonds Way Edmonds location. This role would consist of helping in in our classrooms in the afternoon. This role has an afternoon schedule of approximately 5 hours each day 1230pm to 530pm Monday-Friday. Our center is family owned and operated with a family type atmosphere. We have been in business since 1988 in Edmonds and we have a solid reputation in our community for providing quality child care. •Some previous experience teaching children in a child care center, summer camp, school, or babysitting/nannying is desired. DCYF Background clearance required, first aid cpr certification, minimum education of a highschool diploma or GED, and 30 hours stars class (can be obtained after being hired). •We are looking for an individual who has a passion for teaching and being around children. An ideal candidate is someone who is caring and friendly towards the children and other staff and willing to step in and help the center and co workers as needed. Communication skills are also critical to this position.
